in love with hope …
she comes to me,
offering solace, gentle words whispered in my ear,
she placates me,
her words a tender caress, dispelling fear,
she seduces me, as sure as she breathes fire into my soul,
she teases me, offering glimpses of the promise of being whole,
she heals me, when i’m down, battered blue black,
she picks me up, shuffling my self as bones achingly crack.
in love with her, i know now, without her, i would not cope,
in love with her, i know now, she is abiding hope,
hope lives,
hope breathes,
always … …
Absolutely. Strange to say (or not!) my doggy is called Hope lol. For obvious reasons. We have to keep hope aluve. It is, in my view, more important than faith.

Yes, you can live without faith, but you cannot live without hope. I don’t think I have much faith, but I do have hope. And faith – what in? Yes, it may be heloful, but in my view hope is essential

i completely agree with you – it is actually hope that is more often confused as faith, if i may so … hope is essential. faith is a bit confusing to me because 6-plus billion people share different faiths BUT hope is what we always need to hold onto and to strive to make a reality that is filled with more hope – be it for equality etc. i am in full agreement with you, dear friend.
Hope always!

Thankyou friend. Yes, there are so many faiths, though I suspect there are things in common with all of them. I react very badly to fundamentalist faith such as I have encountered a great deal, that says “You MUST have faith,” almost like you are being punished if you cannot rise to it. I do not really know what faith means as it has bad connotations for me.

absolutely the same for me … i cannot stand fanaticism of any kind – religious, nationalistic, or any other thing that demands FULL compliance without free and rational thought.
we share a lot of the same ideals dear friend and we HOPE for a better world – doing whatver we can in our small ways
