twilight bore down, night descended, empty, forlorn,
the light flickered, then was gone,
yet, wherever injustice claws into humanity, where dignity is tattered,
the furnace rages,
Fidel lives,
Fidel lives on

Furnace is a metaphor for Miami and the anger that remains about Cuba.

A great poem, Afzal bhai
Fidel was a great friend of India and India had been one of the first countries in the world to have recognised the socialist Cuban government after the Cuban Revolution.
India provided Cuba with 10,000 tonnes of wheat and 10,000 tonnes of rice in 1992 when Cuba was undergoing hardship. Fidel Castro termed the donation as the “Bread of India”, because it was sufficient for one loaf of bread for each one of the then Cuban population of eleven million people.India also provided donations worth two million dollars during the Cuban earthquake

Thank you, Amitabh-bhai for your kind words. Yes indeed the true internationalist ideals and principles that Cuba led by Fidel practised are beyond mere words. We as South Africans honour the sacrifices Cuban soldiers made in fighting side by side against Apartheid tyranny in the battle of Cuito Cuanavale. The world has lost one of the last great revolutionaries who was guided by the principles of a more just and a more humane world. Will wiki Cuba and India (thank you. Did not know that) and may the spirit of Fidel and the Cuban revolution remain a beacon of hope for all those who are living in an increasingly unjust and callous world. Hasta la Victoria Siempre, Comandante !
