marooned, alone,

on

cobwebbed shores,

far from home,

‘home’

is it truly home,

if

jagged feelings slice & shear?

can it ever be ‘home’

when

meagre verse shrieks out for all to hear

Apples & Spinach

The foul odor of scarred flesh.

The reeking decomposition.

Bodies once animated, once so alive,

Now strewn across the moist ground.

The surgical strike.

The pin-point accuracy.

The smartest weapons,

Deployed,

To decimate the bad guys.

Black and brown people,

More often than not,

Pummeled to a pulp,

Black and blue.

While LCD screens miles away,

Surveil and scan for potential targets,

The unknown other.

The evil doers,

As mothers & daughters,

Pick out apples and spinach

In a market-place in the cross-hairs.

Black Lives Are Cheap …

we’ve seen it all so many times before

you see, the truth is at its very core,

that,

black people are subhuman,

not perhaps animals,

because we treat our pets better than we treat those fucking niggers,

oh have I offended you by ignoring  your politically fucking correct ‘n’ word?

well I don’t care,

because the truth stinks much much more,

the truth stinks like a massive fucking shitheap,

because the truth is,

black lives are cheap!

we’ve seen it all before, and that’s something they just don’t get,

we remember, you see, we fucking remember!

Mozambique
Chile
Vietnam
South Africa
The United States of America
Palestine,
Iraq
El Salvador
Angola
Afghanistan
Laos
The United Kingdom
Burma
Grenada
Namibia
Hiroshima
Nagasaki

Cape Town Ferguson Gaza Johannesburg Ramallah New York City London Kabul Washington D.C Jenin Tel Aviv Santiago Bulawayo Kinshasa Lumumbashi Harlem Soweto Gugulethu Mamelodi Khayelitsha Chatsworth Eldorado Park Sebokeng Lenasia Mannenberg Alexandra Township Favellas Shanty Towns Slums Informal Settlements Squatter Camps Chawls Guantanamo Bay South Central Los Angeles

we remember that our brothers & our sisters everywhere

whose hues and shades and rainbow colours

make us your number one suspect,

the rapist criminal lazy drunken hand-me-down wanting creep,

yes all of that and more

because goddammit black lives are fucking cheap!

CAN you EVEN BEGIN to understand the REASONS why We, The People, are so fucking pissed off?

Are you even human enough to acknowledge THE FACTS,

Are you capable of thinking just one more level deep?

And perhaps then you will know why,

We, The Peoples’,

us niggers,

lives are so cheap!

Torture IS Terror

Torture IS Terror…

1.

we’ve seen  barbarity of ISIL

we’ve seen the orange jumpsuits

we’ve seen the savagery of beheading a human-being

we’ve seen aircraft filled with people used as missiles

we’ve seen the brutality of the Taliban

of Boko-Haram
Lashkar-e-Toiba
Abu-Sayyaf
AQAP
AQIM

brutal cowards who
rape
kill
maim
behead

we’ve seen so much

2.

we’ve seen the “black-hole” that is Guantanamo

conveniently off-shore in the land of Cuba

we’ve seen the orange jumpsuits

we’ve heard of barbaric water-boarding

we’ve heard of  Black-Sites dotted around the globe

we’ve seen the drone strikes remotely controlled like the latest X-Box

we’ve witnessed the razing of homes by the IDF

we’ve seen the invasion of countries

the descent into chaos of entire nations

we’ve seen too much

You cannot fight Terror with Terror!

Torture IS Terror!

talkin’ self-loathing blues …

I’ve been walking,
and a-talkin’

ramblin’ & rollin’

through deserted streets flowing with tears

down cobwebbed alleyways reeking of fears

just a-yakkin’ and a-scribblin’ these paltry rhymes

no absolution on sale at this carousel of blood-soaked crimes

just a-screamin’ that my tongue is fractured, broken

penitence perhaps for splintered words spoken

yes just ramblin’ along,

at ease at last

free of the shackles that bind my heart

crawlin’ on stage,
fatigued by this, my well-rehearsed part

dismissing clouds of promise

shredding whispered iloveyous

burning yesteryears struggles

denying my past as nonsensical farce

caught in a rat-trap
the walls closin’ in

tossin’ what’s left of me into fates’ dustbin

talkin’ too much as ever,

scribbling meagre rhymes to quell the mania

flowin’ in my veins like noxious poison

ramblin’ & a-rollin’ along

a doleful dirge for the paths I have chosen

shattering to pieces emotions frigid and a-frozen

just a-trippin’ through this circus parade,

seeking nothing much

‘cept the shelter of the shade

yet the paths wind
casting me adrift

on an ocean of tears
alone and at sea

squinting through blinded eyes that no longer can see

the pain etched on my own face

a wretched immigrant never knowing its place

so I keep ramblin’ and a-rollin’ along

bleeding out from a million cuts

always on the outside lookin’ in

while they dance and drink and cackle and fuck

leaving me to wallow

mired in the muck

so I ramble and roll and stagger through

discarding sentiments that once burned so true

suckling on apathy under skies of plastic blue

squinting through a foggy blur

life sprints past jabbing and a-pokin’

its parting words a venomous slur

whispered in a  sickly sweet cacophonous murmur

I stand alone

a vacuum now fickle
and
hollow

yet

I ramble and roll

searching for a sliver of a moment without desolation

without sorrow

and

as I stagger along as I ramble and follow

the one constant

hope

hope

H O P E

hope for a less savage tomorrow …

Rant #2

& still

We The People,

are kicked down?

& STILL we forgive?

centuries of conquest colonisation rape pillage plunder forced religious conversions or what’s probably worse using economics to attract your flock that you lead to slavery and slaughter?

&

STILL

WE’RE the uncivilised ones?

only the ignorance that racism spawns can breed such racist bigotry!

racism stunts the fucking mind!

no thinking human with quarter of a brain and half of a heart would fall for such drivel unless those fungal bigoted minds feed on hate and on #Apartheitude

Rant #1

the racists’ hate is there for all to see,

no not in South Africa,

no, not in Mzansi,

BUT

in the USA.

for as a mother grieves,
as no parent ever, ever should,

the racists’ have launched a smear campaign,

against a MOTHER who has just lost her baby boy.

AND

SO

racist bigots, every last one of you subhuman scum,

hear this from a coolie-wetback-nigger-kaffir-hotnot-paki-nigey-foreigner-‘those’ people who aren’t like ‘our people’ etc etc

we feel your hate
as our ancestors did!

and we have to say this now loud and fucking clear

ENOUGH

of

your racist shit!

So
racist bigots HEAR us

we’re not divided

though you HAVE tried that as well!

But,

WE ARE

O N E

not a couple of darkies

oh no

no more niggerspickikearabtowelheadcameljockeyjewboykaariyahotnotwetbackcooliebushmanbushie et fucking cetera.

ENOUGH!

NO MORE RACIST SHIT!

racist bigots kill,

murder our young,

& smear & lie
& the media doesn’t give a shit

but we the 99%

STAND AS ONE

We ARE one!

So

racist bigots
hear this

ya’ll all white & pure?

for sure,

BUT

WE coolieniggerwetbackkaffirjewboytowelheads

We SHALL always ALWAYS be Many MANY More!

note to the racists who need this explained, you see, 99% after all is greater than your pathetic bigoted 1%

Racism is Binary

racism stalks streets,
flowing with blood,

red blood.

not black, white, saffron, green, yellow,

but,

red blood,

like the colourless tears that stream,

down faces of all hues,

&

of every shade,

human beings all,

just humans,

who into dust or ashes do fade.

racism on the prowl,

deafening,
virulent ignorance,

embraced by those who hate,

seeping out of diseased tongues that bray & howl,

while,

humanitys’ corpse,
lies in state.

racism is binary,
soul-less,

with just a single choice to make,

so think carefully now, o’ patient reader,

cos’ racism is binary,
soul-less,

& there is only one choice that is right …

… the dazzling fusion of a rainbow,

or dull,
bland,

empty white.

H O P E

there’s always hope, I suppose,

so I still cling onto it,

a wishful hope perhaps,

that there will come a day,

when,

those who profess to believe in a higher being,

an almighty, or many,

will listen to what the tenets of the myriad creeds of the ‘almighties’ to whom they pray each day,

say.

Yup, a vain hope it may be indeed,

that these holier-than-thou ‘believers’ would,

or could,

for maybe just a little while,

shut the hell up?

and actually listen,

to those humane tenets that we are told are present in every creed,

and maybe then,

if they shut the heavens up for a bit longer,

they may actually,

really,

for once,

to all those glorious words,

pay some heed.

Ps: I mean if one claims to be a ‘fundamentalist’, it follows that its obligatory to follow the ‘fundamentals’, erm like let’s take this really, really ancient one as an example:

“Thou Shalt Not Kill”

Yup.

That would be a good start

why do tears fall
like rain,

slashing, flogging
splintered faces,

drowning in pain
